Dr. Malusi Manda Peza holds a MBCHB (UCT), Post Graduate
Diploma in Health Economics(UCT) and HIV Management Course (EACS) from the
University of Cape Town and European AIDS Clinical Society respectively.  

He is a general practitioner who has a special passion for HIV prevention and HIV management. He also treats other chronic diseases and acute illnesses.

He has held a number of senior positions in various leading
multinational organisations including Mylan (Head of Medical Affairs), GSK
(Medical Governance Manager for Africa-Consumer Division), Gilead Sciences
(Senior Manager, Public Health and Medical Affairs for Sub-Saharan Africa),
Merck (Head of Government Affairs, Market Access and Pricing for South East
Africa) and Sanofi Pastuer (Medical Head for Vaccines). His main achievements include
leading the Truvada for PrEP (HIV prevention tablet) launch in 10 African
countries and the launch of viral hepatitis cure medications such as Sovaldi
and Harvoni (including Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya). He has also worked in many therapeutic
areas including dermatology, allergy (launched Epipen for severe allergies),
cardiovascular disease (Hypertension and Cholesterol), diabetes (oral and insulin
treatments), hospital anti-infectives, mental health (mood disorders),
HIV/AIDS, TB,viral hepatitis, oncology, pain management. 

Dr. Peza is a self-employed and independant General
Practitioner in full time private clinical practice and functions as a
Infectious Disease focused Functional Medicine Specialist. He offers a 24 hour
service from Monday to Saturday (Bookings are essential). This service includes
an e-medicine platform available accross Africa and other parts of the globe.
His main area of interest is infectious diseases (Mainly HIV and Viral
Hepatitis management and prevention). He practices functional medicine and focuses
on all aspects of medicine associated with HIV. These include medical weight
loss, dermatology and skin lightening, hypertension, diabetes, hypercholesterolaemia,
mental health and non-AIDS related cancers.These services are also offered to
non-HIV positive patients. I also look after children affected by HIV and Viral
Hepatitis. 

His passion for increased access to first-world HIV
antiretrovirals has led to the introduction of a unique pan-African healthcare
micro-finance funding vehicle called Masiphilisane Health. This product ensures
HIV treatments that are not registered in Africa are made available to all
patients on the African continent. 

Dr Peza enjoys being an active part of public health
projects and part of the National Department of Health's Viral Hepatitis
Technical Working Group and worked ith the National Bargaining Council for Road
Freight and Logistics Industry on their community based national HIV management
program. He also consulted o Adcock Ingram's HIV program and is worked ith
the Adcock team to establish a proudly South African HIV treatment access
program ensuring access to newer ARV treatments in South Africa and beyond. 

Dr. Peza functions under "Dr. Malusi Manda Peza
Inc." and has established a number of entities to ensure Africans access to
first world medical care regardless of socio-economic status or geographic location. These include various specialized clinics, a healthcare micro-finance vehicle based on nciples of communal giving, a medico-legal service, healthcare investment tool for patients, patient education platforms, a medical concierge service and a few other patient focused services.
