Since 1983, I have been working in an integrative general practice in Cape Town as a specialist practitioner in integrative medicine, as a school doctor for the Waldorf School Movement and as a participatory / psychophonetic counsellor. 

I am also passionate about the care and protection of children and have lectured widely and written many articles on subjects related to child health and child development. My first book Awakening to Child Health Part 1 was published in 2009. Part 2 will deal with Contemporary Health Disturbances in Childhood and Adolescence and Part 3 Contemporary Therapeutic Approaches to Health Disturbances in Childhood and Adolescence. My second book Addictions in Childhood and Young Adults – the struggle for Freedom was published in 2011. 

I am actively promoting and teaching a way to deepen experience called Participatory Awareness based on sharpening and strengthening the natural functions of human experience. On this foundation I am practising a style of medicine which I call Participatory Medicine.
