I had the pleasure of visiting Dr. Bonang Doku’s dental clinic and had an exceptional experience that went beyond just dental care. From the moment I walked in and interacted with Brenda, Dr. Doku’s remarkable assistant, I could tell this was a unique place. Brenda’s warm demeanor and inclusive, gender neutral and queer-friendly language made me feel instantly seen and welcomed. It’s those small things that often go unnoticed, but they can make a world of difference. At Sparklz, I didn’t feel like just another patient – I felt like I was among friends, family even! Dr. Doku’s expertise was evident in her explanations of the procedures and her gentle approach. The level of care and attention I received throughout my procedures was unparalleled. Beyond the technical aspects, what stood out was the personal touch. Brenda followed up immediately to see how I was doing, which demonstrated their genuine concern for patients’ well-being. In summary, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Dr. Bonang Doku’s clinic is a place where exceptional dental care meets a welcoming and personal touch. The combined efforts of Dr. Doku, Dr Slabbert, who’s expertise have gifted me an implant, and Brenda created an experience that was both professional and friendly. The practice also boasts a unique charm in Dr B and Dr Slabbert’s relationship, the latter being her previous lecturer - their relationship in the consultation room is a wonder to observe. It definitely made me nostalgic for my memorable teachers, and evidenced the kind of model of the teacher that I HOPE my students experience me to be. You won’t come across magic like theirs often. I’m sad and grateful to say that my previous dentist, who was unavailable when I needed a consult, has now lost me to Dr B and community! I am HOME.
